Evan D. Szczepanski focuses his practice on real estate litigation, construction defect claims, construction litigation, commercial and civil litigation, and title-related matters. He represents individuals, businesses, developers, and property owners in a wide range of complex disputes involving construction defects, title issues, boundary line disputes, contract claims, lien enforcement, and other complex real estate conflicts.
Evan brings extensive hands-on litigation experience to his practice, including jury trials, appellate matters, motion practice, depositions, and discovery. His work regularly involves high-stakes disputes arising from construction defects, real estate transactions, and development-related projects, allowing him to provide practical guidance tailored to each client's objectives.
Before joining Winter Capriola Zenner, Evan served as a prosecutor in New York City, where he developed significant courtroom and trial experience. He later transitioned into civil litigation, handling complex disputes involving real estate and construction-related issues, along with broader commercial matters in private practice, where he handled multiple jury trials to verdict and continued expanding his litigation experience.
Evan earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Alabama. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and New York.
Outside of the office, Evan enjoys woodworking, home improvement projects, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors with his family. He and his wife, Dylan, live in Marietta with their two sons, David and Leo, and their dog, Zoe.
